How we make money
We believe you should know exactly how a free service stays free. Here's the full picture.
Free for you
Coverancy is and will always be free for the people who use it. You don't pay us to request a quote, compare your options, or read our guides.
We are not an insurance company
Coverancy is not an insurance company, agency, or licensed broker. We help you request, organize, and compare car insurance quote information. Coverage itself is underwritten and sold by licensed insurers.
How we earn revenue
Insurers may compensate us when you obtain coverage through our comparisons. That compensation comes from the insurer, never from you, and is not added to your premium. We do not sell your personal information, and we are not paid to hand your details to third parties.
What happens to your information
The information you provide on the quote form stays with Coverancy. We use it to prepare your comparison and to communicate with you about it, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your mobile information and any SMS consent are never shared with third parties. We explain this fully in our Privacy Policy.
Editorial independence
The guides, calculators, and educational content on Coverancy are written independently of any commercial relationship. We don't rank carriers by who pays the most, and we don't include "best of" lists that could be influenced by compensation. See our Editorial Policy for more.
